We spent a bit of time with the fam this weekend. Everyone gathered Saturday night for birthday dinner. Dale and Luke got to choose what we ate so naturally there was a lot of meat. Luke wanted ribeye (excellent choice) and Dale was anxious to try bacon explosion. Friends, if you are a bacon lover then this is the dish for you. Basically you lay out a lattice work of bacon, cover it with ground sausage, add seasonings, sprinkle more bacon, roll it up and cover in barbecue sauce then grill it (low and slow). It sounds a bit weird. I love bacon but was still a bit skeptical.
Let's just say, f you are invited to our house for any occasion in the near future you will experience bacon explosion. It's our new favorite! SUPER DELICIOUS and practically calorie free. :) Did I mention there were 3 f these little goodies? Oh and ribeye, potatoes, corn, salad, homemade rolls and 3 desserts! The Beachys like to do it right.
