Today was the LAST day of school!! No more getting up early, making lunches or doing homework. Yahoo!! The sad thing is that I now have a second grader and a kindergartner!!!

a sad and joyous day

Today was Reagan's last day of 3K. She is very excited about moving on to JK. I, on the other hand, am very sad. 3K is such an awesome place. Mrs. H and Mrs. M are AMAZING teachers. They are the crown jewel of CCS. Maybe there will be another little Beachy just so we can pass thru 3K again. I'll keep you posted...

field day

Today was the day Carsyn has been waiting for. A day for her to do what she was born to do. A day that only comes once a year. Field day. Excitement was in the air - at 6 am (ugh!)!! She ate a good breakfast, got dressed and poured on the sunscreen all before 7:30. The grin could not be wiped from her face.

After lunch Luke, Reagan and I headed over to catch C in action. We were too late to see her run the 200. She got first place. Several moms stopped me and said, "Did you see her?! She was amazing!" Can't believe I missed it! She still had the grin on her face but now she had a ribbon in her hand- a "running ribbon." Her day was complete! She ran a relay later but that was it. I know she would have run every race if she could have. We are very proud of her- proud that she loves to run, that she is good at it and that she enjoys sharing it with her friends/family.

a good cheering team...

she's even intense while watching...

max was on her team...

look at that grin!!

The red team won field day- icing on the cake!

150

Today Reagan's class went to the park for an end-of-the-year celebration. It was a lot of fun to hang out and watch these little ones play. I am SO SAD that 3K is ending. I took 150 pictures today- I get a little crazy sometimes :) Here are some of the highlights....

the class- these are some really amazing kids (and teachers)...

R and M picked flowers for about 30 minutes...

a taste of the low country

Today we hosted out 4th annual Low Country Boil. For those of you who are Boil virgins- it consists of crab legs, shrimp, corn, sausage and potatoes all cooked together in one pot with an "old shoe" (seasoning). It is SUPER DELICIOUS!!

Traditionally it is a day we celebrate the end of another school year. Dale invites the teachers he teaches with (and their families) plus a few additional WCA friends. Dale's parents help us put it all together. It is something we look forward to all year long!! Each year it gets better and better!

isn't she beautiful?!

jacob helped us grill hot dogs and brats (not everyone likes seafood- strange, i know...)...

we introduced the Northerners to the Low Country way to serve seafood...

it was well received...
