just a normal day (in 80 degree weather)

Today we slept in, went out to breakfast, spent 5 hours at the pool, rested, watched tv, Carsyn rode bikes with grandma and played basketball AND we ate delicious grilled burgers for dinner.  Another great day in sunny Florida!

I'm obsessed with the number 5...

the best day

WOW!  Today was an amazing day!  The sun was shining bright, it was warm and we had A LOT of plans!  We started off by paddle boarding.  Carsyn and I took an into lesson and spent 2 hours paddling around the bay and even went thru a mangrove.  It was fun AND exhausting!

On our way home we stopped at the Hob Nob.  It's a local burger joint that I have been wanting to try for YEARS.  It was a spur of the moment decision as we were driving by.  It was sooooo good!

This afternoon we went to the pool.  Carsyn swam and I laid out.  :)

Tonight we went out to dinner and celebrated Carsyn's birthday.  She won't be 12 for a month but we decided to celebrate with the grandparents while we were together.  She had key lime pie at dinner (the waiter brought it to her for her bday) then she had peanut butter pie at home tonight!

FINALLY her grandparents let her watch 4 episodes of Duck Dynasty.

A perfect day.

6th grade has it's advantages

These 2 used to be super close.  

It was magical.  

Now they are older and have different interests.  

They still love each other, they just don't spend all-day-every-day together anymore.  

the dance

The father-daughter dance is today.  It's one of Reagan's favorite nights.  She loves spending one-on-one time with her daddy (it's not Carsyn's favorite event!)  They are dancing til 5:00 then headed to Applebees (Reagan's choice).  :)

bitter sweet

Carsyn had her very last basketball game of the season today.  

The very last game of her elementary school career.  

sniff...

I am happy and sad at the same time.

Happy because they had a FABULOUS season (and sad because it's over).  

They won every single game... up until the last one.  

Today was hard.  The team was good but they were also amazons!  SO TALL.  

Either way I am so proud of these girls.  They have had an amazing few years together.
