not spirit led

We've got spirit. Yes we do.
We've got spirit. How bout you?

No. No. No, I don't.
I don't have spirit. So there.

It's spirit week at CCS. Not my favorite time of year for many reasons (of which I won't go into). It's especially hard for me to get on board with dress up this year. I was planning on being organized and ahead of the game. Making costumes the week before hand. Laying everything out so there was no confusion.

Well, I didn't and it sucks.

Monday I ran to Goodwill (as well as 3 other stores) to find the right things for Tuesday and Wednesday. Not a whole lota luck. So we ended up with some throw together, last minute, easy costumes. There was even a bit of rushing the last 2 mornings including a few "mommy moments".

Ugh. 2 more days.

Yea, CCS...

today's Career Day costumes included one olympic swimmer, one construction worker and one basketball player (they were happy)...

disclaimer: I LOVE CCS. Just not spirit week. :)

many random thoughts from the week

This has been a weird week. We had lots of things planned but then got hit with the stomach flu. Thankfully it was just me. 2 days down and 2 days recovering makes for a messy house, empty cupboards and piles of laundry. I finally had my first meal last night. We went out to Dewey's Pizza with the Walseth's. Then we headed to the Third Degree Glass Factory for their monthly open house. They have glass blowing demonstrations, food and live music. They also have their work on display for purchase. If you live in the area and have never gone you are missing out.

I will say though I'm fairly certain I'm not very artsy. Some things I don't understand... The gentleman who was demonstrating last night spent an hour making a pregnant female body. Complete with boobs! It was hilarious to watch him fashion "the girls" out of glass. Previously he had made the woman's head and a large collar. Then under the collar was a suspended baby's body. The head was to rest on the top of the body he made- and the baby would be suspended inside the body. I'm not gonna lie- it was a bit creepy. It was still a neat process. I'm sure not every week such odd things are produced. It is suppose to be a family friendly event. If you live in the area you should definitely check it out!

After the glass factory we went back to Dewey's for Hank's cheesecake. It was good but we determined that we can make better. Are you ready for a throwdown?!
(THAT'S IT Sarah! We can challenge Bobby to a cheesecake throwdown)... :)

Today we went to the Magic House to celebrate our friend, Charlotte's 4th birthday. It was a fun afternoon!

our favorite Fairy Tale exhibit is back!

Reagan had a lot of random thoughts at bed tonight...
R: mom. i'm not going to get married when i get bigger. i don't want to kiss boys.
m: don't worry. when you get bigger you will want to kiss a boy. you will probably be about 25.
R: wow. that's old. you're old too. like 56. anyway, how do you know who you are suppose to marry?
m: you have to pray every day that God will show you who he wants you to marry.
R: anyway. grandma great is the oldest person. she is short too. i think when i'm that old i will be short.
m: you won't be short. you are going to be tall like your mama.
R: let's pray and sing the family song (Family of God).

That girl cracks me up!

That's enough randomness for tonight. Goodnight.
