cousin camp

My kids love to hang out at grandma and grandpa's house.  Especially in the summer when all the cousins are around.  Right now they are there sans the parents.  Meaning- it's summer cousin camp time.  LAst night they saw a fab fireworks display and stayed up until 11:00!  Glad I'm not there.

I have been getting a few random pictures but there is much more going on then they are telling....

Tonight they are roasting dogs, schmellows, having movie night and camping out.

Cousin camp is far from over.  I'm sure when they get home they will be exhausted.  It's ok.  I am so thankful they have 2 sets of fabulous grandparents who love them AND want to hang out with them.  We are unbelievably blessed!

It's rare that I post pictures on here with me in it so I decided to add one for good measure.  Reagan took this on our vacation.  She is my beginner photographer for sure!

shakespeare

Each spring at school our librarian does a whole unit on Shakespeare.  She takes one of the plays and reads it aloud and explains what is necessary.  The kids dress up one day and they have a feast at lunch.  There is even a group that comes and performs part of a Shakespearean play.

This year it was The Twelfth Night.  My kids were enthralled with all of it.  We had many dinner discussion that centered around Shakespeare.  Dale and I have limited knowledge on the subject which was good because we could not tell them they were wrong confused.  They definitely taught us a few things.

Well, we have not dropped the subject of Shakespeare yet.  It's June.  Yesterday Reagan purchased a 20th Century Dictionary from a library sale (it was $1.00!)  In the back of this 10" thick book it has a section on Shakespeare which it where she began her reading.  After a bit she said, "Mom, there's a lot of thee, thou and bosom in Shakespeare.  I don't understand why."

We never eat out for breakfast.  It's easier and more comfortable to eat at home.  This morning we went out.  It was a nice treat....

june

May is over.  I completed all of my goals except seeing a movie.  It was a long and very busy month.  My June goal is to relax.  That's it....  should be a good month!
