a taste of the low country

Today we hosted out 4th annual Low Country Boil. For those of you who are Boil virgins- it consists of crab legs, shrimp, corn, sausage and potatoes all cooked together in one pot with an "old shoe" (seasoning). It is SUPER DELICIOUS!!

Traditionally it is a day we celebrate the end of another school year. Dale invites the teachers he teaches with (and their families) plus a few additional WCA friends. Dale's parents help us put it all together. It is something we look forward to all year long!! Each year it gets better and better!

isn't she beautiful?!

jacob helped us grill hot dogs and brats (not everyone likes seafood- strange, i know...)...

we introduced the Northerners to the Low Country way to serve seafood...

it was well received...

I checked just to see if you were insane enough to host your big party and then post it on your blog before I could blink. And, yes, you did. Kind of amazing. Thanks again for a great time.

Where was our invite? We could have brought fresh shrimp from the coast.
