Today Luke is 11.  Time is really flying.  I am so proud of him!  He is one amazing boy!

Luke joined a new basketball team this fall- the Mavericks.  He is enjoying the challenge.  He gets to play 2 nights a week and has games on the weekends.  We really like the coach and the team is doing well (they have won most of their games.)  It's fun to watch him play!!

Carsyn is playing field hockey this season.  It's the inaugural season for her school.    They have won 2 games too (including the one below)!  It's fun to see their skills progress.

So, it's been awhile.  Someone gently reminded me.  

Since March a lot has been going on.  

In a nut shell...

This weekend we went to the Corn Maze with cousins- Harry Potter theme!

March came and went and Carsyn turned 12!  We did a lot of celebrating!  This past Sunday she invited all of her 6th grade classmates to a pool party at her dad's school (about 2/3's came!)  It was a lot of fun!

We got to use the small gym as well.  Of course they played basketball......

just a normal day (in 80 degree weather)

Today we slept in, went out to breakfast, spent 5 hours at the pool, rested, watched tv, Carsyn rode bikes with grandma and played basketball AND we ate delicious grilled burgers for dinner.  Another great day in sunny Florida!

WOW!  Today was an amazing day!  The sun was shining bright, it was warm and we had A LOT of plans!  We started off by paddle boarding.  Carsyn and I took an into lesson and spent 2 hours paddling around the bay and even went thru a mangrove.  It was fun AND exhausting!

On our way home we stopped at the Hob Nob.  It's a local burger joint that I have been wanting to try for YEARS.  It was a spur of the moment decision as we were driving by.  It was sooooo good!

This afternoon we went to the pool.  Carsyn swam and I laid out.  :)

Tonight we went out to dinner and celebrated Carsyn's birthday.  She won't be 12 for a month but we decided to celebrate with the grandparents while we were together.  She had key lime pie at dinner (the waiter brought it to her for her bday) then she had peanut butter pie at home tonight!

FINALLY her grandparents let her watch 4 episodes of Duck Dynasty.

A perfect day.
