Luke: "Mom, PLEASE don't make us watch tv in the morning. It gives me such a headache."
(Ummm..... I'm sorry for forcing morning cartoons on you son. I won't do it again.)

summer work
Some of you reading my blog know my husband. You are aware that he is superman without a cape.
This summer, after extensive traveling out west, he is working on 2 house projects. The first is a playcave for the kids. It's attic space that has been transformed into a secret play room for the kids. They could not be more excited to see it finished.
Here is a taste...

I'll leave the other pictures for later (because I haven't made my final decisions yet...)Posted by amy at 9:22 PM 1 comments

looking ahead
This past week when I was visiting my doctor he was asking about the kids- he was there when all 3 were born. He said he loves to randomly ask his kids what they want to be when they grow up. He asked me what my kids said. I realized I hadn't asked them in awhile. So today I found out:

late to the game
Dale and I have a very strict policy on watching tv/movies. Our kids rarely watch full length movies and they only watch certain shows on tv. This summer while we were traveling we let the kids watch High School Musical. Our DVD player was out of power and HSM happened to be on my laptop. We turned it on and enjoyed the silence. The kids were enamored with the movie. They LOVED the singing and dancing not to mention the basketball.
After they watched it the first time Reagan asked everyday to see it again. Not gonna lie: we watched it over and over and over. Not only that but at one of the places we stopped we download HSM2 from itunes (it took 18 hours due to very slow internet access). Again, the kids were enthralled. I accidentally told them there was indeed a third show. We decided to wait until we got home and order it from Netflix.
We ordered it and then invited some friends over for a HSM party! It was even a costume party. The kids had so much fun...

dance camp
Reagan participated in dance camp this week. She was SO excited all week long. Every day after camp she would ask if it was bedtime so she could get her pj's on and go to sleep (she wanted to wake up and do it all again).
