teacher gifts

I am pretty excited about our homemade teacher gifts this year!! They are reusable baggies (like you would expect anything else).

If you have seen me lately you might call me the baggie lady. I have been peddling them like crazy (if you are interested in buying some... call me) :)

Christmas concert

Last night the kids participated in the school Christmas concert. It was a wonderful evening of singing and entertainment. The younger classes sang a fun song called "The Eve of our Concert". The second graders paraded across the stage carrying props while the kindergarten and first graders sang. It was really cute! The whole evening was a blessing.

This is the one time of year I "make" my kids somewhat match... :)

party day

We celebrated Reagan's birthday all day yesterday! She had her 2 best friends over in the afternoon. We decorated gingerbread cookies, decorated picture frames and watched Angelina's Nutcracker Christmas. She had a great time hanging out with Sarah and Annie! It was a nice low key event (right up my alley this year!) :)

In the evening we had our family party. Both sets of grandparents were there plus Uncle, Cori and Micah (we missed you Auntie!!).

It was a great evening!

The girls...
As soon as they got home from school they put some of Reagan's pj's on. :)

A new robe :)
hugs from Micah...
Reagan wanted a gingerbread cake....

little reagan

Six years ago today sweet little Reagan was placed in my arms. Her sister adored her- her brother ignored her. We all loved her immensely (and still do!).

Reagan is sweet, kind, loyal, loving and fierce all wrapped in one- we wouldn't change a thing!

happy birthday big girl!

sewing with grandma

Grandma came over on Saturday and did a sewing project with the kids. She helped them make reusable baggies (which are very popular at our house). We already have tons of them but the kids got to pick out their fabric and make their own. They had a great time (and did a lot of the work by themselves!!)

Luke picked out candy cane fabric...
Carsyn chose trains...

Reagan picked a multi-colored fabric...

Here are a few others. My sister makes them (to sell). If you are interested let me know. I am peddling them for her... :) I have sandwich and snack size AND other designs too...

It finally snowed!!
These are all the photos I took...

Note to self: if you have a back injury do not go outside in the slippery snow and attempt to take photos....

new do

For the last year I have been painstakingly growing Reagan's hair out. I say "I" because Reagan has not been on board with the process- at all. She does not like to wear bows, headbands, ponytails or barrettes. Long hair on a 5 year old screams "please but something cute in me!"

This summer Dale insisted we put her hair in a pony because it was so hot. After a few weeks of fussing she got use to the routine. When school began we got out of the habit. Now her hair is so static-y because of the dry air! AND it's difficult to brush.

She has been begging to get it cut off. I love it long but really?! It's hair. It's not a battle worth fighting. Believe me- there are plenty of worthy ones!

so here she is before...

and after...

Reagan LOVES it! She thinks she looks just like her friend Annie.
We think she looks just like her sister! :)
